Liverpool came from behind to draw level with Arsenal twice before drawing 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium in English Premier League Football.
Just nine minutes into the game, Arsenal took the lead 1-0. when Ben White made a long pass to the right wing for Bukayo Saka to speed up and get the ball. In the 24th minute, it was the Gunners’ chance. Saka turned from the left wing, cut to the edge of the penalty area and shot with his left foot. But the ball went over the bar.
Then it was Arsenal who had almost one-sided possession and had chances from Miguel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli. But neither was on target.
In the 43rd minute, the Gunners took the lead again, making it 2-1, from a free kick. That Declan Rice curved to Miguel Merino who headed the ball into the goal.
At half time, Arsenal led Liverpool 2-1.
In the second half, Arsenal lost Gabriel Magalles to a knee injury and had to replace Jakub Kiwior in the 54th minute.
Liverpool tried to push forward but couldn’t do much because the Gunners were waiting to counterattack.
In the 76th minute, Arsenal had to make another substitution. Taking off the injured Jerrian Timber and sending on youngster Miles Lewis-Skelly instead.
In the 81st minute, Liverpool equalized 2-2. A long ball from the back went up front. Darwin Nunez sped up to get the ball in the empty space in the right side of the penalty area. And crossed to the middle for Mo Salah who zigzag-dribbled into the middle of the penalty area and kicked the ball into the base of the goal post.
Then, both teams played in a tight game, both afraid of conceding goals.
Despite the injury time being as long as 7 minutes, there were no more goals. The game ended with Arsenal drawing with Liverpool 2-2. Allowing Man City to take the lead after the end of this week’s program.
